This painting is a common painting we see as we walk through the markets here in Peru.  It is a reminder to us of Mathew 9:35-38.

The Harvest Is Plentiful, the Laborers Few

³⁵ And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. ³⁶ When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. ³⁷ Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; ³⁸ therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

The mountains in the background are also a reminder to us of the impossible task we have been called to, which is to have the good news of Christ redemption proclaimed amongst all nations, tongues, tribes and people groups.  This is an impossible task for us; however, it is not impossible for God!

We have so much to share yet, I wanted this message to be brief.  More 4th quarter updates to come in January.

As we wrap up this decade, we look back and see how God’s love, mercy, and goodness have overflowed in our lives.  There have been, and will continue to be, many hardships and times of mourning but God’s presence and faithfulness prevail.

Many of you have been a testament to God’s abundant blessings on our lives and the lives we encounter through your prayers and your financial resources.

We want to ask you to consider a partnership with us and God’s greater mission of this Great Commission task to mobilize the Latin American Church towards missions to nations with little or no access to the Gospel message.  Our invitation is simple…

1. Pray earnestly with us to the Lord of the Harvest for laborers to be sent into the harvest fields
2. Ask the Lord if he desires you to partner with Familia Martinez in His Kingdom work
